YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. In October 2018, compared with October 2017, passenger traffic through Armenian airports Zvartnots and Shirak grew 14.2% to 264,924, the press office of the International Airports of Armenia CJSC reports.
Passenger traffic through Zvartnots International Airport grew 13% in October 2018, compared with the same month a year before, from 220,726 to 249,857, and passenger traffic through Shirak Airport grew 35% from 11,183 to 15,067 people.
As many as 2,416,643 passengers have passed through the two Armenian airports since the beginning of this year – 12.2% year-on-year growth.
The number of takeoffs and landings in the two airports has grown 9.9%.
Currently Armenia has two operating airports – Zvartnots in Yerevan and Shirak in Gyumri, both run by Armenia – International Airports company in accordance with the 30-year concession management agreement signed with the Armenian government in 2001.
